To,
The Hon’ble Chief Election Commissioner
Nirvachan Sadan
Ashoka Road,
New Delhi - 110001

Subject: ACTION AGAINST PAID NEWS IN ONGOING ASSEMBLY ELECTION IN FIVE STATES OF INDIA

Sir,
I personally admire your strict leadership in ongoing election and your effort to handle paid news syndrome during election. Sir, despite all your efforts, the parties and candidates are still resorting to this media menace. Media is still indulging in such things due to revenue and profit earning and nexus with corporates and power that be or for some hidden agenda.
Sir, I will be thankful to you if Election Commission of India will consider and discuss the followings:
A)   CEC should create an official account on social networking sites like facebook, twitter, orkut etc. to facilitate quick update with any such reporting
B)   Names and identity of anyone including Journalists who complain or report such abuse of media before CEC regarding malpractice or Paid News of the media houses, the identity and name must be kept confidential and not disclosed at any cost,
C)   CEC should also publish an advertisement in public interest regarding awareness among people for such social sites of CEC, to let the public know and request them to communicate to Election Commission directly through these sites or SMS for which Mobile numbers should also be given.
With Regards:
A citizen of India
